Grok Imagine / DEVICE GUIDE

Save Grok Imagine media on a computer

Use your desktop browser to check a public Imagine post, choose an available file, and place it in a project folder. The same website works on a PC or Mac without a downloader extension. Public source access remains conditional.

Public links. No sign-up.

Download your own work or content you have permission to save.

Go from the post to a verified local copy

Your browser may save to a default folder or ask for a destination. Choose a descriptive project location and keep the file extension when renaming the download. Changing an extension does not convert the media.

  1. Open the individual Imagine creation and copy its supported grok.com/imagine/post/ link.
  2. Paste the link into the downloader using the input field or your usual keyboard shortcut.
  3. Check the preview and choose the source for an unchanged accessible copy, or a listed conversion for a specific need.
  4. Use the browser’s download list to locate the finished file, then open it and verify the expected picture, motion, and sound.

Keep a source copy before you edit

For video editing, start with the MP4 source when it is available. It preserves the accessible published file rather than making a new video encode. A GIF is limited to the opening 15 seconds and 480 pixels wide; a JPG from a video is only its first frame.

For an image, retain its source before making repeated edits in another app. Add the original post URL and any reuse permission to your project notes. Grok prompt text and generation settings are not exported by this downloader.

Organize a small batch deliberately

Put up to 10 individual post URLs into batch mode, one per line. Review the separate results and errors. The successful-source ZIP has a 200 MB combined limit and does not contain GIF or other conversions prepared separately.

Save within the 10-minute session window and check the contents after extracting the ZIP. Keep any item error separate from your completed files so you can revisit the correct post. An inaccessible source cannot be recovered by requesting a different ZIP or conversion format.

Use the original platform when access is restricted

If Grok refuses guest access, open the creation in Grok and use its available download controls. This site does not use the login state from another browser tab. Conversations, private attachments, and account archives need the official account-data workflow rather than this media form.

Questions about this guide

Do I need a browser extension?

No. The downloader is a website. It does not require or use an extension to read your Grok account.

Can I keep downloading from an old result tab?

Results expire after 10 minutes. If needed, submit the original public post link again to create a fresh result.
