Grok Imagine / FIELD NOTES
Find the right Grok Imagine share link
The accepted link points to one Imagine post: https://grok.com/imagine/post/ followed by that post’s ID. This identifies the creation to check. It does not grant access to an account, and it is different from sharing an entire Grok conversation.
Start from the individual creation and use the sharing controls available in Grok. Exact labels and placement can vary between the web and mobile apps. Check the address you receive before pasting it here.
Download your own work or content you have permission to save.
Copy from the creation, not the surrounding page
On a computer, copying the address bar works only when it already shows the individual public post. On a phone, the system share sheet may offer a copied link, a file, or an app destination. A shared file is not a post URL. If the result is only a conversation address, it cannot be converted into an Imagine post by editing the text.
- Open the image or video you intend to save in Grok Imagine.
- Look for the sharing action attached to that creation and copy its link if available.
- Inspect the copied address. It should use grok.com with the /imagine/post/ path and a post ID.
- Paste that link into the downloader. If the page or media is unavailable to guests, use Grok’s own available download controls instead.
Recognize the links this tool can use
Paste the whole HTTPS address, including the post ID. Copying only a title, shortening the ID, or adding a second URL can lead to the wrong input. Ordinary extra tracking information is not needed; the post itself is what identifies the media.
| Link or location | Accepted here? | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| grok.com/imagine/post/ plus a post ID | Supported pattern; access still required | Submit it and check the result |
| A Grok conversation share link | No | Use Grok’s conversation or account-data controls |
| An X post or X Grok share link | No | Open the Imagine creation and find its supported post address |
| An Imagine library or saved-items page | No | Choose individual posts |
| A direct image or video file address | No | Use the original supported post link |
A public link is a useful check, not a guarantee
Opening the link in a browser where you are not signed in can help reveal whether the post is publicly visible. It is not a definitive test of this downloader’s access, because Grok can serve the share page while restricting the underlying file or requests from another service.
If a link only works after you sign in, use the official controls for that account. Do not paste login information, session cookies, or a private account export into this form. The service cannot use those details and does not provide a sign-in workaround.
Questions about this guide
Does this support x.com/i/grok/share links?
No. Use an individual grok.com/imagine/post/ address if the creation has one. X links are not accepted by this downloader.
Can I paste a direct MP4 URL?
No. The form checks supported Imagine post pages, not arbitrary file addresses.
Why does the link work for me but fail here?
Your browser may have account access, or Grok may restrict access to the underlying media from guests. Use the available download controls on the original platform.
Can the link be taken from a chat containing an image?
Only if you open a separate supported public Imagine post for that image. The conversation link itself is not supported.
