Save an image from an individual Grok Imagine post
Image downloads here begin with an individual public Imagine post, not a conversation that happens to contain a picture. When that post supplies an accessible image rather than a video, Grok Downloader can offer the image source and applicable PNG, JPG, or WebP conversions.
A post and its image must both allow guest access. If the image is only available inside your account or a chat attachment, use the saving controls in Grok. This website cannot open private attachments or collect images from conversation history.

Identify where the image actually lives
A supported image link has the form https://grok.com/imagine/post/ followed by its post ID. A chat share link, a direct image address, or a link to the Imagine library does not meet that requirement. Copy the link from the individual creation if it has its own public Imagine post.
If the post contains a video source, the downloader treats it as a video. Its JPG option then produces the first video frame, which may resemble the starting image but is not a separate download of the generated still. For a still image, use its own image post or the original platform’s image export.
Keep the source or convert for compatibility
A conversion matching the source extension is not offered as a separate choice: use the source button for that file type. The available buttons follow the actual image result, so do not assume a format exists merely because it is mentioned in a guide. No option increases resolution or removes a watermark.

The preview is scaled for the page, so judge fine detail using the downloaded image rather than its display size in the browser. Keep the source if you plan to make several edits. Saving repeated JPG versions in another app can introduce additional compression, while changing extensions alone never changes the format.
